Jamie bought the swing and our neighbors let us use their tree. Katie, Mom and Dad were in this picture.
Aug 12.
Aug 25. We did our first overnight in a tent on the House of Mercy campout. Evelyn didn't fall asleep right away in the tent, but after she did she slept through the night.

She had fun playing in the middle part of the raft when it was on shore. Watch this video. 3 MB

The Rowes brought up the high chair, and that made feeding her quite a bit easier.
Here is that raft in the water. She loved this too but of course we had to watch her carefully.

July 14. We went to a family reunion-type get together in Rice Lake, WI. On the back of the property there is some land that borders a shallow river. Last year Evelyn was too small to go in. But this year, she loved it. We helped her get used to it but then she was just fine walking, crawling, splashing, seeking out big rocks, and having a great time.

July 14. The spots on her nose were scabs from a tumble she took on a sidewalk that got her a bit scraped up. Her nose is mostly healed now.
Couple of videos. I compressed them but they still are a bit large. The quality is a litter higher and that might be why.

Going on a walk in the woods, May 27.
On the walk there was a sandy patch that she liked playing in.
Then she took off crawling down the path. It was pretty cute. Check out the video. 12.7 MB

June 15. I just love this picture. It captures so well the unrestrained enthusiasm with which a child can enjoy something. It was totally a bit of luck that my shutter went off right at this moment, but I'm sure glad it did. Here is a video of her swinging at this park. 8.8 MN

She was supposed to take a nap here but... it didn't work. We were at the Lake Lot under the trees.
The Rowe grandparents put up this swing. Evelyn loves it. It's pretty swank, eating crackers while lazily swing under the trees by the lake.
June 21. Her second time in the water was even better. She would have kept walking in this tube until she was under water so we had to watch her. She loved sitting near the shore, wading, jumping with Mom, even "swimming."
Here she is playing with a son of Jamie's cousin. Dylan is 3 and he is very sweet and cute with her. He shares his toys and even calls her "baby Ewolyn."
