The beer was expensive (see below) so I didn't indulge up to my normal levels. Still, one night I had these half liters and was feeling good. They are from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, and Germany. We were playing poker, having some pepperoni ala Ricky (see TPB), watching UEFA football matches, and having a fine old time.
Jason drank this Kokanee stuff like water. "It's glacier beer, dude," he basically said. :)
This picture lets you see how expensive the dern stuff is. You're going to pay about $10 US for a 6 pack, plus a $.10 deposit/bottle that you probably will be too lazy to recover.
The beer highlight came at this unexpected brewpub stop in Vancouver on our last night.
I couldn't resist getting the 8 glass sampler while Jason had the 4. He later had a sleeve of something else. Everything was great. Pilsner, Rye Wheat, Oatmeal Stout, Cream Ale, Pale, IPA, Brown, and a Lager. I'm telling you, this place ranked in the upper echelon of brewpubs that I have visited on my travels.
The Steamworks' kettles downstairs.
